Olila Documents & Communication Strategies is a consortium of top quality producers in a variety of fields. Each member is hand-selected by Anneli Olila due to their consistently high quality work and their shared client-centered approach. The following are some of our key contributors:

Anneli C. Olila

Anneli heads up the consortium, and is responsible for the company's overall vision and the final delivery of each project.

Corporate Background

Anneli's corporate background includes an ongoing position with Suffolk Construction, Co., Inc., as one of two Instructional Designers for a comprehensive corporate training program ranking 40th on the national Training Top 125, a list considered elite among the Fortune 500. During her previous tenure at Suffolk, she served as Compliance Manager, Field Coordinator, and Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President and General Manager, and participated in the ongoing efforts of the Strategic Planning Team of this nearly $2 billion organization. Prior to Suffolk, she served as International Customer Satisfaction Manager at Speedline Technologies, a subsidiary of Cookson International, and as Director of Client Relations at Myna Corporation, a New England engineering firm serving the blind and visually impaired.

Writing Background

Anneli has worked as freelance writer, editor, and english tutor to clients worldwide since 1992. She currently is working on publishing her first novel, and, together with her sister, Nicole A. Olila, on the biography and collected works of their father, Dr. James H. Olila, co-founder of the field of Corporate Anthropology.

Educational Background

Anneli's educational background includes a Propadeuse in Social Pedagogy earned at the Rotterdam Social Academy, augmented by studies in Historiography at Erasmus University (Rotterdam, The Netherlands), in Sociology at the University of Minnesota, and in Technical Communications at Northeastern University, Boston, MA.

Linda Merry Gutin

A highly experienced copywriter with a flair for comedy, Linda Gutin helps create attention-grabbing marketing communications, including titles and slogans. Her corporate experience includes stints at:  Booz-Allen & Hamilton, where she wrote and edited technical and humorous articles for an award-winning corporate newsletter; and International Paper Company, where she supervised a customer service team and conceived of “You Can Bank on Bri$tol$,” a slogan used widely throughout a billion-dollar business unit.  Linda has a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Columbia’s Teachers College and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Modern Languages.

Michael Hoagland

Mike Hoagland is an integral member of Olila’s Career Documents and Job Search Strategies team. Mike’s professional background includes having worked at Fidelity Investments as Brokerage Representative, at Merrill Lynch International Bank (London) as Assistant Operations Manager, and at Harvard Medical School as Laboratory Manager. Mike also has a solid foundation and Certificate in Technical Communications, gained through his studies at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Devon Brown

Devon is a key contributor to Olila's production of articles, newsletters, and web copy. She has served in a variety of marketing and language-related capacities, including as Pre-Production Assistant for COACH, and as instructor and advisor for the Japanese Exchange Teaching Program (JET) in Tokyo. Devon earned her BA in English Literature at George Washington University.
