Olila Documents & Communication Strategies supports non-profit education initiatives in honor of Dr. James H. Olila. Known to most as 'Jim', Dr. Olila co-founded the field of Corporate Anthropology, and established both the Corporate Anthropology Foundation and Corporate Anthropology Corporation. He was a much loved educator, a passionate student advocate, a ground-breaking management consultant, and a well-known bridge-builder between people, disciplines, and cultures. Through both his work and his personality, Dr. Olila contributed greatly to the vital links between academia, business, and communities across national boundaries. Jim was the son of Howard and Lillian Olila. He grew up with his sister, Kari, in Murray, Kentucky and Red Wing, Minnesota, and spent a great deal of time with his much-loved grandmother, 'Aiti', who frequently 'shushed' him. He later lived and taught in Minnesota, the Netherlands, and Estonia. At the time of his passing, Jim was husband to Ellen Olila; father of Nicole, Anneli, and Jelke Olila; and grandfather of Moira, Micaela, Petie, and Maisie.

Jim maintained deep connections with his Finnish roots all of his life. His love of people and other cultures lent itself well to his life as anthropologist. |
