CORPORATE AND ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
In addition to her ongoing work through Olila Documents & Communication Strategies, Anneli currently serves as Founder / Editor-in-Chief of Boston GreenScene, a rising portal to all things 'green' in the Greater Boston Area. Through Boston GreenScene, Anneli strives to connect and amplify the efforts of local businesses, organizations, and individuals working toward sustainability.
Anneli's corporate background includes a lengthy tenure with Suffolk Construction, Co., Inc., where she served in several positions and participated in the ongoing efforts of Suffolk's national Strategic Planning Team. In her earlier years at Suffolk, Anneli held the positions of Compliance Manager, Field Logistics Coordinator, and Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President and General Manager. After Anneli left Suffolk in 2006 to pursue her own ventures, they sought her out again in 2008 to serve as one of two Instructional Designers for Suffolk's comprehensive internal university. Red & Blue University won high rankings in both 2008 and 2009 on the national Training Top 125, a list considered elite among the Fortune 500.
Prior to Suffolk, Anneli served as International Customer Satisfaction Manager at Speedline Technologies (a subsidiary of Cookson International) where she led the successful development and implementation of a program soliciting qualitative and quantitative client feedback, focusing strongly on key global accounts and integrating this feedback into the company's continuous improvement program.
WRITING, EDITING, AND COMMUNICATIONS BACKGROUND
Anneli has worked as freelance communications consultant, writer, editor, and english tutor to clients worldwide since 1992. Her clients have included international universities, local colleges, pro-sports teams, job seekers, academics, and numerous businesses and organizations of all sizes, cultures, and industries. In addition to her current work as Editor-in-Chief of Boston GreenScene, Anneli is working together with her sister, Nicole A. Olila, on publishing the biography and collected works of their father, Dr. James H. Olila. Dr. Olila co-founded the field of Corporate Anthropology and worked as international management consultant throughout much of his career as a much-loved professor in several countries.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Anneli's educational background includes a Propadeuse (BA) in Social Pedagogy earned at the Rotterdam Social Academy (Rotterdam, The Netherlands), augmented by studies in Historiography at Erasmus University (Rotterdam, The Netherlands), Sociology at the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN), and Technical Communications at Northeastern University (Boston, MA).
