About

Anneli is a seasoned communications specialist with both a personal international background and strong, consistent experience in corporate international client relations. Currently located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Anneli provides services to clients in Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and the Americas.

Anneli completes most of the work herself. When necessary, she taps into a pool of qualified, experienced subcontractors with whom she has longstanding working relationships to supplement her own knowledge, expertise, or capacity. She always holds end-responsibility for the final results and conducts thorough quality assurance reviews to ensure that clients are served according to her own exacting standards. Information on subcontractors is available to clients upon request. Anneli always serves as the key contact and organizational point for clients.

Corporate and Organizational Background

As part of her ongoing work through Olila Documents & Communication Strategies, Anneli currently serves as Interim Project Manager and Interim Content Manager for Informed Consulting, an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) consultancy based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. She currently works on all projects for a key Informed Consulting client, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. These projects are focused on migrating numerous Pfizer websites across the globe to a common SharePoint platform.

Anneli's earlier corporate background includes a lengthy tenure with Suffolk Construction, Co., Inc., where she filled numerous roles— including Instructional Designer, Compliance Manager, and Field Logistics Coordinator—and participated in the National Strategic Planning Team. Her work as one of two Instructional Designers for Suffolk's comprehensive internal university contributed directly to Suffolk achieving high rankings in both 2008 and 2009 on the national Training Top 125, a list considered elite among the Fortune 500.

Prior to Suffolk, Anneli served as International Customer Satisfaction Manager at Speedline Technologies (a subsidiary of Cookson International) where she led the successful development and implementation of an ISO 9000 compliant program soliciting qualitative and quantitative client feedback, focusing strongly on key global accounts and integrating collected feedback into Speedline’s continuous improvement program.

Prior to Speedline Technologies, Anneli served as Documentation Specialist at Myna Corporation, an engineering and manufacturing company serving the blind and visually impaired. Myna was a key supplier of assistive devices for Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, the National Federation of the Blind, and the UK’s Royal National Institute for Blind People. Anneli led the revamping of all text and audio materials for national and international clients.

Writing, Editing, and Communications Background

Anneli has worked as freelance communications consultant, writer, editor, and English tutor to clients worldwide since 1992. Her clients have included international universities, local colleges, pro-sports teams, job seekers, academics, and numerous businesses and organizations of all sizes, cultures, and industries.

Both before and after launching her independent activities, Anneli frequently collaborated with her father, Dr. James H. Olila, who co-founded the field of Corporate Anthropology and worked as international management consultant throughout much of his career as a much-loved professor in the Netherlands, the United States, and Estonia. Anneli worked with her father to translate and edit various scholarly documents and also served under him as designated editor for English-language graduate student theses at Audentes International University, Estonia.
